FEMA Announces more than $420 Million in Funding

On June 15th, FEMA released Notices of Funding Opportunities for two program aimed design to "empower state, local, tribal and territorial government agencies to  strengthen their emergency response capabilities and their resilience to potential catastrophic incidents." 

The Emergency Management Performance Grant program is providing $337 million in funding to invest in training and equipment for emergency response personnel, while the Emergency Operations Center Grant program is providing $83 million to enhance state emergency operations centers, which serve as hubs during a crisis for information, resources and decision making.
