The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Integration Center (NIC) has published the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Guidance for Mutual Aid Incident Management System (NIMS) Guidance for Mutual Aid. This Guideline supplements the NIMS Resource Management component and provides guidance on different types of mutual aid agreements, the key elements of a mutual aid agreement, and the key elements of mutual aid operations plans used for implementation.
