DHS Online Course Launched

27 Feb 2023 2:10 PM | Diane Weidenkopf (Administrator)

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched its online training course, Foundations of Targeted Violence. The course is designed to educate the public on threatening or potentially concerning behaviors, and where to report them to provide an opportunity to intervene or prevent targeted violence.  DHS has concluded that acts of targeted violence are the result of individuals planning and preparing to commit acts of violence versus impulsive or irrational acts. The course is free and takes about one hour to complete.
