DHS State & Local Cybersecurity Grant Program

4 Oct 2022 5:14 PM | Anonymous

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the first-of-its-kind cybersecurity grant program specifically for state, local, and territorial governments. The funding will help eligible entities address cybersecurity risks and threats to information systems owned or operated by or on behalf of state, local, and territorial governments. Congress established the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program in 2021 and requires states to distribute at least 80% of funds to local governments, with a minimum 25% distributed to rural areas. A 10% non-federal cost share is required for single entity projects. Multiple entity group projects do not require the 10% cost match. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov.
