NIJ Student Threat Assessment Resources

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is featuring Student Threat Assessments (STA) during August 2022. These assessments are a systematic approach to evaluating the likelihood that a student will carry out a violent act after an expressed threat or threatening behavior. The assessments are designed to provide school officials with alternatives to reactive and exclusionary disciplinary practices.
